Uganda: KCC to Face Atraco Without First Choice Goalkeeper Okello

Kampala — KCC will take on Rwandan side Atraco tomorrow without their first choice goalkeeper who has to serve a one-match suspension.

Second choice goalkeeper Abdulkarim Kamyuka will keep sentry as first choice Tonny Okello will serve a suspension after picking up two yellow cards in the group stages of the ongoing CECAFA club championships in Khartoum, Sudan.

Striker Lewin Piyic will stand in as reserve goalkeeper as Kamyuka stands in the way of Sam Timbe's dream of lifting a third club title.

Atraco made the knockout stages as one of the best two losers, while KCC came top in Group B. In today's action, guest team TP Mazembe, take on Sudanese second side Hey el Arab while El Merreikh take on Burundian outfit Inter Stars.

Meanwhile, CECAFA will investigate a group stage match where Hey El Arab were awarded points after Zanzibar side Miembeni ran out of players.

Miembeni were down in the fifth minute through an Ahmed Saad goal before they conceded a penalty in the 57th minute.

Immediately afterwards, several of their players went down 'injured' forcing referee Hudu Munyemana from Rwanda to call off the match as they failed to return to play.

Meanwhile, the best player will take home $2,000 and every man-of-the-match $300 courtesy of local newspaper Alsaada.
