Somalia: MPs Disprove Pro Government ICU Administrations' Collapse

Beledweyn — The Somali MPs in Beledweyn town in Hiran region have disproved Tuesday a statement of former pro government ICU officials who announced recently that their administration was collapsed.

Mohamed Daqane Elmi known as (Aar), one of the transitional MPs who reached in Beledweyn town recently told Shabelle radio that that there were no members of the pro government Islamic Courts Union who split from the administration in Hiran region refuting the statement saying that the ICI administration in Hiran region was totally collapsed

He said that the town is divided in two parts and controlled by the transitional government and the Islamic organization of Hisbul Islam adding they will reach all districts in Hiran region in central Somalia.

Mr. Mohamed Daqane also disproved that Ethiopian troops entered parts of the region pointing out that there was once that the Ethiopian troops arrived there as he was absent from the region saying that they captured members of ONLF rebels there and returned.

The statement of the Somali MPs comes as some of the former pro government officials of the ICU held press conference in the town and announced that their administration in the region was fallen down.
