After loosing 3-0 to Deoncs in their opening fixture, Sam F.C. on Wednesday collected all the three points after defeating African Light 2-1.

This victory would at least restore back the hope of Sam's disappointing fans who were bitterly distressed about the 3-0 defeat to Deoncs.

And for Africa Light, it is also over for them as they lose for the second consecutive time with only one more game to go.

The other fixture played has a string of draws. On Thursday Dahaba and Deoncs both of whom won their openers have drawn 2-2.

But Newtown and Madina shared the spoils on Friday at the Box Bar Mini Stadium.

Foday Trawally broke the deadlock for Madina in the 20th minute, but the narrow lead was soon cancelled by Newtown's Abdou Sulla Bojang when Madina's defender mis-communicated with his goalkeeper and left him to quickly slap the ball into the net.

Thereafter, Madina players employed every tactic available to them but were held to 1-1 draw thereby missing the first victory.
