After leveling one all at regulation time, Row Squad over the weekend defeated Steve Biko Football Academy of Bakau 4-2 on penalty in a cracking and closely fought final played at Sanna Jatta Memorial Field in Lamin Village.
Soriba of Row Squad put his team into an early lead when he slotted in from the close range in the 9th minute of the first half.
Biko Academy has seen the host intensified their attacks and pushed for an equalizer. They played good interconnection passes and broke into the Row Squad territory but misfired their numerous chances. However, in the 38th minute, Biko Academy leveled the scoreline when Ebrima susso hammered in a terrific shot into the back of the net thus leveling the socre line 1-1
In the ensuring penalty shoot out, Row Squad triumphed 4-2 as the Noran champions collected the trophy and a cash prize of D4500.
Steve Biko Academy as the runners up traveled home with D3000.
Musa Bojang of Biko Academy went home with D300 as the award for the leading goal scorer. And Jatta's Memorial Football Academy received a trophy for the youngest team of the tournament award.
