Luanda — The 27th edition of the African Football Cup of the Nations (CAN2010) will be publicised worldwide, following an agreement signed between the event's Organising Committee (COCAN) and Sport Five, holder of the advertising rights of the organ governing football in the continent (CAF).
Signed Monday in Luanda, the agreement makes provisions for COCAN to publicise the event Angola will host from January 31, using the logosof the competition, of CAF and of associated partners.
On the occasion, the minister of Youth and Sports, Gonsalves Muandumba, considered the agreement between COCAN and Sport Five as a concrete step in the face of the challenges that the country took up to host the continental event.
In addition to members of COCAN and CAF, the ceremony gathered Government officials and MPs of the 6th Commission of the National Assembly.
Led by Issa Hayatou, CAF delegation over the weekend assessed the projects concerning CAN.
