Luanda — The Angolan Government is creating conditions to facilitate the issuing of entrance visas for participating delegations and foreign nationals interested to attend the Cup of African Nations (CAN2010) to take place next January 10-31 in the country, revealed the minister of Youth and Sports, Gonçalves Muandumba.
The Cabinet official was speaking to press Monday at the end of the meeting between Angolan Prime Minister, António Paulo Kassoma, and the chairperson of the Confederation of African Football (CAF), Issa Hayatou, during which were discussed matters concerning the preparation of the continental football competition.
According to Gonçalves Muandumba, the Angolan Government will know how to combine the defence of interests and national sovereignty with the organisation of the continental competition, assuring that there will be visas for those who wish to come to Angola in an organised manner.
He stated that concerning to the countries where Angola does not have a diplomatic representation, those interested need to send beforehand the documentation to migratory services in order to get the permission to enter in the national territory .
The minister added that due to instability verified in neighbouring countries, drug trafficking, among other problems, it is necessary to make decisions towards to fight behaviours tending to disturb the normal functioning and security in the national territory.
