8 July 2009

Jos — The Mhiship communities have commended the Speaker of the Plateau State House of assembly, Mr Caleb Mwansat, for the construction of roads and bridges to the people in the area.

A statement signed by Mr. John Bulus Gukwat, Press Secretary to the Speaker, said the roads and the bridge will help the communities to transport their agricultural products to the urban areas and take their children to school during the rainy season. The statement said the communities made these remarks when they paid a thank you visit to the Speaker under the leadership of Mr Jacob Bitmang, Deputy Chairman of Pankshin Local Government area.

The Speaker, Mr Istifanus Mwansat said they built the bridge and the road because the community deserves physical developments due to their support to the government during the last general elections and pledged to work towards service delivery to the people.
