Makurdi — Benue State Governor, Gabriel Suswam, has called on churches to continue to partner with the state government in enhancing provision of social amenities.

Suswam said this in a message to the Methodist Church, Nigeria, at a recognition service and award of merit to deserving members of the Archdiocese of the North, at the Norcross Cathedral, Otukpo.

He acknowledged contributions of the Methodist Church, Nigeria, in the area of education and health, and called on other Christian denominations to emulate the Church in this regard.

Represented by Chairman, Local Government Service Commission, Dr David Salifu, Suswam called on the Church to continue to offer prayers for his administration, adding that some people are criticising his administration instead of joining him to move the state forward.
