Abuja — Super Eagles stand-in captain, Joseph Yobo yesterday admitted that playing Tunisia had always been a difficult one but pointed out that after scheduled September 6th match in Abuja Nigeria will top the group. This he said on the occasion of his being conferred with the title of "Defender of the Poor" honors by National Poverty Eradication Programme (NAPEP) for his partnership in the fight against poverty nationwide.

Yobo said aside Tunisia being a difficult team to play, the away match made it harder and result Eagles got was well deserved. "It was a very good point because we played against Tunisia a couple of times and it is always difficult, also playing away from home makes it even more difficult and I thought the point was well deserved it was a good point because it puts us right back in and now we have to play them again in of September and if we win them then we are ahead of them and they will have to start chasing us. So we are still in a good position.

"We are very hopeful and optimistic we know how important the game is going to be and it's going to be good for us because the season is going to be on and we are going to be fit and ready for the game. I will like to think that it is going to be probably the most important game because if we win that game that means we are jumping on top of the group, so it is going to be a very, very difficult one but I think with the coaches and players and all the support that we have and playing at home we will use that advantage and give our best to make sure that we get the three points"

In his own earlier remarks, National Coordinator of NAPEP, Dr. Magnus Kpakol said President Umaru Musa Yar'Adua was concerned by the problem of poverty in the country and is working towards mobilizing all available resources to fight it.

Kpakol who lauded Joseph Yobo for agreeing to partner with NAPEP in the area of Village Trust Fund for Education and Score on Poverty said a programme to scout out talents from the poor communities in the country would help the fight against poverty.

According to him, the programme will see a partnership with the National Sports Commission and other relevant agencies to ensure that talented Nigerians are given the opportunity to get out of poverty as well as develop their God given talents.
