Angola: Luanda to Get Incinerator This Year

Luanda — Luanda province will get an incinerator this year for the treatment of hospital wastes.

This was announced Wednesday in Luanda by the provincial governor, Francisca do Espírito Santo, while speaking at the opening of the first "Provincial Seminar on management of hospital wastes".

She on the occasion added that the works for the installation of the incinerator are to start soon at Mulenvos dumping area.

Currently, Recolix, a company responsible for the collection and treatment of hospital wastes is the only firm of the kind operating in Luanda.

Francisca do Espirito Santo who is also a minister without portfolio, stated that Luanda Government intends to improve the response to collection and treatment of hospital wastes.

According to the official, the only company responsible for the collection of hospital wastes existing in Luanda is not capable of responding in due time and with quality.
