Harare — THE Premiership resumes this weekend with a lot of expectations placed on the coaches and players as the title race enters its defining phase.
A number of clubs have made changes to their dressing rooms with new coaches coming on board and a host of players also switching teams.
Ailing Black Rhinos, who will resume their battle against relegation with a clash against Lengthens, have roped in former CAPS United and Shooting Stars coach Gishon Ntini as their new mentor.
They will face a Lengthens side that was left having to look up to assistant coach Mandla Masuku after head coach Bigboy Mawiwi crossed the floor to take over the reins at debutants Eagles.
Ntini has also lured Malawian Gift Makoloni to Rhinos and is hopeful the former CAPS United forward will deliver the goals that Rhinos have been badly lacking.
They, however, still need to recruit more players and play with better conviction if they are to guarantee their stay in the Premiership next term.
Eagles, who have had a fair start to the debut season, showed that they have more than just an ambition to stay in the league as they dismissed coach Mike Madzivanyika.
Madzivanyika was however, yesterday unveiled as the CAPS United assistant coach following the departure of former Warriors midfielder Kennedy Nagoli.
Eagles will be hoping to welcome Mawiwi with a win when they host Motor Action at Rudhaka on Saturday.
Gunners, who had a burst of form in the later stages of the first half of the season, will begin life without influential skipper Zhaimu Jambo who has moved to Kaizer Chiefs.
Moses Chunga has, however brought in midfielder Willard Katsande from Highway and pint-sized forward Esau Amisi from Shooting Stars in a bid to keep up the pressure on leaders Dynamos.
Gunners resume their league campaign against a Highlanders side that is hardly feared by anyone these days.
Bosso are just an ordinary outfit and there is very little chance of them winning the league title.
Harare giants Dynamos and CAPS United return to league action faced with different challenges.
Dynamos have what appears a fairly easy game against Underhill at Rufaro while CAPS United travel to Hwange for a tricky affair against the coalminers.
CAPS United have beefed up their squad with new arrivals including Lazarus Muhoni and Tendai "DJ Malaika" Nyamadzawo.
The new arrivals are expected to improve the club as they go hunting for their first league title in four years.
Champions Monomotapa travel to Highway just a fortnight before they make their Champions League mini-league debut against Tunisian giants Etoile Du Sahel at Rufaro.
