Luanda — The painting exhibition dubbed "Sons e Tons", of the Portuguese painter Miguel DaFranca, was inaugurated on Wednesday at the Camões Institute, in Luanda, at a ceremony attended by the deputy Culture minister, Cornélio Caley.

In the 26 paintings being showcased until next July 31, the author uses the acrylic painting technique with highlight to hot colours such as red, yellow, blue and green.

"Sons e Tons" is a series of paintings reflecting the coherence, class and talent of a mature artist who have a vast knowledge of the trade and uses his tools in a unique manner.

Miguel DaFranca was born in 1943, in Portalegre region, Portugal.

He resided in the Angolanm provinces of Luanda and Cunene soon after the national independence (1975).

He also exhibited individually at the Siexpo Hall of the Museum of Natural History, in Luanda, apart from participating in the EnsArte 2006 Prize.
