Luanda — The Angolan head of State, José Eduardo dos Santos, discusses Thursday with world leaders issues related to the current international economic crisis, during the G-8 Summit, taking place in L'Aquila city, Italy.
To participate at the social meeting, José Eduardo dos Santos, arrived Wednesday evening in Rome, where he began his state visit to Italy, disembarking in this afternoon at the Pescara airport in L Aquila, about 150 kilometres north-eastern off Rome.
The situation prevailing in Africa, the fight against poverty and global warming are at the top of the talks with the leaders of the G-8, which will join the presidents of Brazil, China, Mexico, South Africa, Egypt, Libya, Nigeria, Senegal and Spain.
At the banquet will also be officials of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), World Bank (WB), the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO) and other international institutions and organizations.
The Angolan leader will address a speech at the summit on Friday, which will mark the first participation of Angola at an event of the world most developed nations, created in 1975, when the Southern African country became independent.
