Kampala — Former national basketball league champions Nkumba Marines return to YMCA court today for a tricky tie against improved Miracles Eagles.
Marines, who lost 68-80 to Warriors in their previous game, must win today's tie to avoid sweating to secure a fourth place position as the first round reaches its climax this weekend.
Martin Okwako and Steven Okello scored 14 points each while teammate Brian Gumisiriza netted 25 points to earn victory for Warriors.
Philip Wakimwero and Julius Lutwama scored 19 and 10 points respectively for Marines
Marines coach Timothy Odeke expects the boys to be themselves on court and secure victory to stay on course for the play offs.
"I think we have a chance to be in the play offs," Odeke said yesterday.
"I want to be in the play offs and I feel confident we will make it."
