Kampala — BANGLADESHI industrialist Aziz Mohammad Bhai is in the country to explore investment opportunities.
Bhai owns pharmaceutical plants, oil refineries, steel making industries, battery manufacturing factories, wineries and electrical appliance-making firms. He met the Vice-President, Prof. Gilbert Bukenya, at the VIP Lounge at the Parliamentary Building in Kampala on Wednesday.
Bukenya reiterated the Government's commitment to availing land to investors who create jobs for Ugandans, provide taxes and also put up infrastructure like hospitals that benefit the community directly.
Bhai was invited by Bukenya who met him during his visit to Bangladesh in June, a statement from the VP's office said.
He will also meet President Yoweri Museveni.
