Kigali — LOCAL football fans will be happy to temporarily wipe out memories of Amavubi's stuttering run in the 2010 World / Africa Nations Cup qualifying campaign when the national league returns next weekend.
There are four games are on cards on Saturday.
The league was put on hold on May 12 to pave way for Amavubi's preparation ahead of the World/Africa Nations' Cup qualifiers against Zambia and Egypt but the preparations yielded little after back to back defeats.
The national side lost 1-0 against Zambia before crumbling to a 3-0 defeat against the African Champions in Lusaka and Cairo respectively.
Reigning champions and league leaders, Atraco will few days to recuperate from their Kagame Cup engagements when they travel to Huye for a crunch tie against Mukura.
Elsewhere, 2004 champions Rayon Sport will host Kibuye at Mumena, AS Kigali will clash with Kiyovu at Nyamirambo stadium while Amagaju will host police in Nyamagabe.
The following day, relegation battling side La Jeunesse will host Marines followed by what promises to be a tough encounter between nine-time league champions APR and Electrogaz.
With only two rounds of matches remaining, the end to the campaign promises to be a fascinating one between Atraco on 47 points and APR who are two points behind. While Rayon are seven points off the pace in third place.
