Hoima — A man in Hoima District on Tuesday allegedly killed two boys because their father had reportedly failed to pay back money he lent him.

Mr Joha Franco , 55, a peasant reportedly shattered the skulls of the children using a hard stick.

Daily Monitor has learnt that the children's budding lives ended prematurely after Mr Joha demanded for his Shs2,000 which the boys' father had failed to pay back. The dead; Kaengi Santo, 4, and Oringi Magisumu, 3, were sons of Edward Limimu, a resident of Hanga village in Kigorobya Sub-county.

"The suspect found the children playing football in the compound of their home and hit them with a stick on their heads," said Ms Diana Nandawula, the police publicist, for Midwestern region. Ms Nandawula told the media on Tuesday that the children bled profusely and died on the way as they were being transported to Hoima Referral Hospital.
