Nigeria: Dulux Paints, Dana Air Make Pro Golf Pledge

Lagos — The Managing Director of CAP Plc, manufacturers of Dulux Paints, Mrs. Omolara Elemide has confirmed her company's satisfaction with the co-sponsorship of the 11th CMCL Open held at the IBB Int'l Golf and Country club, Abuja. She stated this during a courtesy visit by the PGA Nigeria Tour.

She said Dulux Paints has started a relationship with the golf community in Nigeria and from all indications, it is a relationship that the brand cherishes and looks forward to sustaining in the future.

In the same vein, the General Manager, Marketing, of Dana Air, Mr. Sanjay Vellore also expressed the satisfaction of Dana Air in the sponsorship of the tournament and promised that the company would give due consideration to the sponsorship of golf tournaments on the calendar of the PGA Nigeria Tour in future.

The CEO of the PGA Nigeria Tour, Olusola Lawson, led his team to the offices of Co-Sponsors and Marketing Partners of the 11th CMCL Open to present the Tour's tournament report and to express the appreciation of the Tour to top executives of these companies.

Companies visited include; CAP Plc, C&I Motors Ltd, Dana Air, AIICO General Insurance.

The 11th CMCL Open recorded milestone achievements, first as the biggest pro tournament since the Nigeria Open in 1999 and second as the first tournament where a Nigerian professional, Christian Godfrey set a new course record at the IBB Int'l Golf and country club, Abuja. He played a fantastic 62, 10 under par on the third day and went on to win the prestigious tournament by four shots.

As the Tour goes on break for the rainy season, all hands are on deck for four more tournaments in the year.
