Lagos — Authorities of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Administration and John Holt Plc., have thrown their weight and support behind Project Wealth Nigeria, an intensive and coordinated approach to wealth creation and empowerment, targeted at ensuring that Nigerians break away from the shackles of poverty.

Country Director/Chief Executive Officer, Project Wealth Nigeria, Obafemi Onagoruwa , who disclosed this yesterday in Lagos, said other change agents, corporate organisations as well as government at various levels are expected to collaborate and patner with the promoters , Infinity Royal Limited , to ensure the success of the project.

Onagoruwa , who spoke at the maiden press briefing on the project , said the collaboration was needed in order to create what he described as an enterprise revolution in Nigeria.

"We are looking at organisations and institutions to take up this challenge with us as a sense of social responsibility, " he said.

"We want the government from the local to states as well as the Federal Government to walk together with us into the lives of many employable yet unemployed people of Nigeria."

The Project Wealth Nigeria helmsman disclosed that his organisation had already done a pilot scheme of the project in Lagos and was determined to take it to all the geo-political zones in the country.

"We have done this on a smaller scale and we are taking it beyond our own little corner to reach every part of this nation," he said, noting : "It is evident that we will not be able to carry on the task all alone.

Collaboration will be the very key in spreading this gospel."

According to Onagoruwa, the not-for-profit project will be adopting a systemic approach of entrepreneurship training, skill acquisition, business mentorship, hands on internship and networking support, stressing that wealth can only increase by diligent enterprise and human capital development .
