Luanda — The French ambassador to Angola, Francis Blondet, Thursday in Luanda, considered the G8 Summit as an opportunity for the country to put forward its positions.
The diplomat was speaking at a press conference, on the occasion of the celebration's of his country's national day, July 4.
The representative to Angola of one of G8's member countries, said the group is seeking to bring the continents, peoples and States closer.
According to the event's agenda that reached Angop, the Angolan head of State , José Eduardo dos Santos, is discussing Thursday, with the main world leaders, the current world economic crisis.
This is during a dinner in L'Aquila, venue for the ongoing G8 Summit.
The situation prevailing in Africa, the fight against poverty and the global warming are in the centre of the G8 leaders' talks. Also attending the meeting are the presidents of Brazil, China, Ghana, Mexico, South Africa, Egypt, Libya, Nigeria, Senegal and Spain.
