Luanda — The new CD of the Angolan singer Pérola, entitled "Cara & Coroa (face & crown)", will officially start being sold next August 01, a date in which the musician will also sign autographs of the album at the Independence square, in Luanda.
Winner of the 2005 Kora Awards in the category of Best Southern African Artist, Pérola will return to the national music market with a diversified work, with highlight to the track dubbed "Presta Atenção", one of the most played at nightclubs and parties in the country.
The CD has 13 tracks sung in the R&B, Zouk and Kilapanga music genres.
The album was produced in Angola, France, Portugal and Brazil, under the aegis of Heavy C, Ekuikui, Jerry Charbonnier, Wonder Boyz, Dmage and Cervantes.
Including the Kilapanga music genres sung in the "Umbundu" vernacular language resulted from the fact that she wishes to show her connection with the land and traditional origins, according to a source representing Jandira Sassingui, official name of the author of the famous R&B track entitled "Break It".
Pérola's debut album entitled "Meus Sentimentos (my feelings9" was released in 2004.
