Luanda — The chairman of the Angola Bar Association (OAA), Inglês Pinto, Thursday in Luanda, called on the Republic's attorney general (PGR) to use legal mechanisms leading those responsible in the the "Mingota" case to court.
Speaking to Angop, the lawyer said that there is no need for Mingota's relatives to take legal action against the team of physicians, as this is a public crime should for that reason be handed by the PGR.
According to Inglês Pinto, should the attorney general not take any action, the relatives of Mingota can seek the services of a lawyer to represent them.
He added that besides the investigation conducted by the Health Ministry and the decision made by the Angolan Physicians Association, all those involved in the case must answer in court.
On June 26, a 20-year old Luanda resident, Domingas de Sousa Francisco (Mingota), was rushed to "Américo Boavida" hospital, in the capital, but aid was denied to her, due to supposed lack of beds.
In despair, the relatives of Mingota sought the aid of the Angola Public Television (TPA), before she was declared dead by the gate of the broadcasting station.
