L'aquila — Africa's representatives to the ongoing G8 Summit of L'Atila, Rome, (Italy), will focus on the continued fight against poverty and the consequent improvement to the continent's living conditions.
Represented by the head of State, José Eduardo dos Santos, Angola is attending the meeting that started Wednesday in L'Atila, some 150 kilometres of Rome, capital of Italy.
African leaders from Angola, South Africa, Senegal, Egypt and Ghana, are also to analyse with the G-8 and representatives of the most important international organisations, such topics as global warming, the world economic crisis, and the international political situation.
Meanwhile, the G8 leaders Wednesday agreed to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 50% by 2050, with rich nations reducing them by 80%.
