Zimbabwe:Zim Cricket Makes Two Technical Appointments

9 July 2009

ZIMBABWE Cricket has made two surprise appointments to the national team technical department by naming Anesu Kafesu as new national team manager and Joseph Madyembwa as team analyst.

Many inside Zimbabwe cricket were taken by surprise when ZC appointed Kafesu, who does not have a strong cricket history, as the national side's video analyst in 2007. He was the association's IT manager. Kafesu has now been promoted to the manager post to replace Givemore Makoni, who becomes CEO for the Southerns franchise in the new domestic setup.

Twenty-two-year-old Madyembwa, a promising club player from Chitungwiza, is a keen cricket tactician and budding writer. ZC managing director Ozias Bvute confirmed the two appointments last night.
