Kigoma shuttered Kinondoni's dreams of qualifying for quarterfinals of the ongoing Copa Coca Cola championship after posting a convincing 3-0 victory.

The match started at a high tempo with both teams pressing hard to get an early opener, but a forth-minute strike from Matala Salum gave Kigoma the lead.

Zuberi Karungo made a dazzling run down the right flank from where he swung over a cross that was powered home by Matala Salum.

After the goal, Kinondoni exerted more pressure on their opponent's goal, but Kigoma's defence stood firm to clear all dangers.

But in the final few seconds of the first half, Kigoma got forward and put pressure on Kinondoni, which resulted into the second goal scored by Farijala Mrisho.

Kigoma went to the breather leading 2-0 against favourites Kinondoni who pulverised Rukwa 6-3 on Wednesday.

The second half resumed strongly with Kinondoni making a series of unsuccessful attacks. Their strikers missed several clear-cut scoring opportunities.
