Nigeria: Laftafest Glos With Freewindz, Basketmouth

opinion

Perhaps to further show appreciation a number of the newly endorsed Nollywood stars stormed Balmoral Event centre, Oregun, on Sunday as Glo hosted the July edition of its comedy and music show. The show anchored by comedian Bright Okpocha aka Basket Mouth is designed to reward committed Glo subscribers in Lagos.

From Nonso Diobu to Ramsey Nouah, Ronke Oshodi-Oke and Chioma Chukwuka Akpotha, the Nollywood idols all sat in privileged seats enjoying the creative display of comedy which began with comedian I go save, Buchi, Gandoki and finally I go Die.

Comedian Basket mouth ensured there wasn't a dull moment as he ingeniously filled in all the breaks between each star performance. Glo recharge cards were given out for free to a few lucky people. Comedian I go Die's soaring profile was made obvious as his entry was made among great applause from the crowd.

The comedian who made it clear that he does not believe in names as a pointer to success flaunted his new financial status adorning himself with several blings claiming there were wrought from iron that could magnetize and not stones.

I go Die was recently named Best Nigerian Comedian at the Nigerian Entertainment Award that held in America a few weeks back. He also clinched a $185,000 deal barely a month ago.

Musical performance from Free Windz, Faze and pop twins P-Square dominated the latter part of the evening as each act reeled out number after number to the audience's delight. The show came to a close a little before 8pm.
