Kampala — AGNES Aneno's chances of winning an international medal where blown out yesterday after she failed to post a time in the World Youth Championships Women 200m competition.
The athlete from Tororo-based Fame Club, who had done the same in the 400m competition, was deemed not fit to post a time by the organisers of the biennial event taking place at Sudtirol, Italy .
Her counterpart Haad Nsamba, competing in the boys 200m, clocked a personal best of 22.68 though it was not enough to help him qualify, having not made it to the top two in his heat and among the fastest six times.
Uganda 's medal hunt is now left to 3000m runner Kibet Soyekwa, who is set to compete in tomorrow's final as the event climaxes.
