Angola: Home Ministry Reaffirms Prisoners' Better Conditions

Luanda — The Angolan deputy minister of Interior, Sebastião Martins, Friday in Luanda, reiterated the readiness of his department to improve the conditions of accommodation of prisoners in the country, with a view to a worthy social reintegration.

The official was speaking at a meeting with MPs of the Defence and Security Commission of the National Assembly, during discussions of the State Budget and revised National Plan. He was representing the Interior minister, Roberto Leal Monteiro "Ngongo".

He said the budget makes provisions for the Interior Ministry to continue developing the areas of public security and substantially improve the accommodation of prisoners.
