Kigali — Sponsors have embarked on a plan to support local upcoming artistes to become professional musicians, a source has claimed.
The Voice of Africa, an Islamic radio station, in conjunction with Black and White club, have organized a big concert to support upcoming musicians. Urban Boyz, Bull Dog, King James, Storm Riders, and The Brothers, are among the artistes who will perform today, during the concert at Alpha Hotel, Remera.
Entrance fee is Frw2000. These artistes will perform a variety of genres, including Afro-pop, rock, hip-hop and reggae.
According to a source, who preferred anonymity, most of the artistes have the potential to become great musicians, but they lack of enough resources to produce better music.
The Voice of Africa and Black and White club want to support solo musicians and bands to produce quality music.
