Kampala — ONE of Uganda's longest serving captain, Jimmy Kirunda, is expected to lead a team of ex-international players against their counterparts from Brazil in Kampala.
Kirunda is Uganda's most successful captain, having led the Cranes to three Africa Cup of Nations finals. In 1978, the Cranes reached the final losing 2-0 to hosts Ghana.
At the same time, a Cranes squad of 37 players including 75-year-old Ali Kitonsa is training for the friendlies.
The squad whose coordinator is former goalkeeper Paul Ssali, will face retired Brazilian players like Taffarel, Cafu, Dunga, Roberto Carlos, Bebeto and Rivaldo.
"We are getting in shape," Ssali said.
The Brazilians will be in Kampala as part of a charity tour in Africa.
