Gambia: Extra Ordinary Meeting of the National Assembly

The National Assembly on Thursday 9th July 2009 convened an Extra Ordinary Meeting in accordance with the powers conferred on the President by the 1997 Constitution. The meeting considered the following items:

I. Banking Bill, 2009

II. Loan Agreement between the Government of The Gambia and OPEC Fund for International Development for the Financing of Banjul International Airport Project, Phase II

The Bill was passed and a motion ratifying the loan agreement amounting to 8 million dollars (over 200 million dalasis) was passed.
