Gambia: Accused Served With Amended Charge Sheet

The seven journalists now facing sedition and defamation charges at the High Court have been served with an amended charged sheet. The number of counts has now been increased from five to six. There are now three counts on defamation. Count four is on conspiracy to commit criminal defamation. Count five is criminal defamation relating to publication in The Point Newspaper, while count six is criminal defamation relating to publication in the Foroyaa Newspaper.
The case is schedule for this morning and Foroyaa will keep its readers informed about the development.
