Luanda — Angolan men's basketball team on Saturday beat Portugal by 64-58 in the second round of Almada International Tournament.
This was Angola's first victory in their preparation ahead of the African Nations Championship (Afrobasket2009), set for next August in Libya. On Friday, at the opening match of the tourney, Angola lost to Brazil by 86-89.
Angola participation at this tournament will end this Sunday when they will face Finland at 05pm.
Afterwards, the nine times African champions will participate in the Lusophone Games that was opened on Saturday evening in the Portuguese capital of Lisbon.
