Luanda — Angolan men's football clubs of 1 º de Agosto and Recreativo do Libolo drew 1-1 on Saturday afternoon in Luanda's Cidadela stadium, for the 17th round of national first division football championship.
With this score, 1 º de Agosto did not take advantage of the championship leaders (Petro de Luanda)'s draw with Santos FC, on the same date. Therefore the distance the most prized teams remains at 13 points (44-31), in favour of Petro.
With shared opportunities, the two teams invested in the attack and in the 28th minute Libolo's striker Rasca opened the scores through a header from a cross by the left-winger Nandinho.
Pilota levelled the scores for 1 º de Agosto in the 73rd minute after a cross from Manucho.
With this score, 1 º de Agosto is still third with 31 points, whilst Recreativo do Libolo rise to the fourth position with 29 points, in a competition being led by Petro de Luanda with 44 points.
