THE Drug Enforcement Commission (DEC) has intercepted hashish resin weighing more than six kilogrammes at the Lusaka International Airport destined for the United Kingdom.

"He is currently detained by police officers and will appear in court soon," Mr Nyawali said.

The commission had in the last two days arrested 26 people country-wide for cultivating and trafficking in various quantities of cannabis, Mr Nyawali said.

He said 13 people were arrested on the Copperbelt while 11 were picked up in Lusaka, four in the Eastern Province and one in Central Province.
