Harare — CIVIL servants will now be paid salaries based on grades with effect from July 1 and have been assured of annual bonuses in November as the Government yesterday revised the budget to U$1,391 billion, up from $1 billion, to accommodate the adjustments.
The duty-free importation of basic goods was also extended to December 31 to ensure increa-sed availability of products at affordable prices while import duty was removed on most raw materials to boost local production.
