Uganda: Parents Urged to Inspect Children's School Facilities

Buikwe — Parents have been urged to take a proactive approach to their children's education. Ministry of Education and Sports Permanent Secretary Francis Lubanga says parents must fully participate in school inspections in order to register an improvement in education standards.

"You (parents) should not undermine yourselves. Besides being parents, you are inspectors, who should monitor schools on our behalf since you reside close to them," Mr Lubanga said while commissioning Busunga-Bogo and Bubiro Primary Schools in Ngogwe sub-county, Buikwe District on Friday.
