THE SALVOES ricocheted from all parts of Africa, especially Kenya and South Africa, and most especially from Nigeria and Nigerians, who felt mortally wounded by President Barrack Obama's visit to Ghana, bypassing Nigeria which before then had posed as the giant of Africa - as the most populous Black nation on mother earth.
But President Barack Obama never lost focus. He had gone through more virulent attacks, more potent than these before, and he survived them all. His message of hope and change for Africa and Africans resonated well with all Africans whose future hopes and aspirations were anchored on a democratic Africa, an economically liberated Africa, an Africa where our children will compete robustly with the children of the developed world.
