Nigeria: Enough of Midfield Flourish, Ezeugo Admonishes Eagles

Lagos — Former Super stalwart Emeka Ezeugo has said there is a need for the Super Eagles midfield to begin henceforth to show forcefulness, character and technique against the opposition when they begin the final curve in the battle for the ticket to South Africa 2010. Both the Eagles and Tunisia are currently in a dogfight for the sole ticket from African qualifying Group B of the World Cup.

Ezeugo who was known for his uncompromising and hard tackling play in the midfield back in his day, observed that the current team's midfield players hold the ball for far too long, which tends to affect the smooth flow of the game.
