Uganda: Busy SC Villa Signs Nigerian

Kampala — SC Villa is making its ambitions for the new season all too clear - Florentino Perez style. After strengthening the club with the addition of Shs16m-rated exciting midfielder Simon Sserunkuma from Victors, the club's veteran administrator Tushar Ruparelia has used his financial muscle to bring on board Nigerian Jonathan Ayigbe and Hood Mayanja from Nalubaale.

Ayigbe is viewed as a replacement of the Yanga-bound Emma Okwi and is costing the club Shs8m while Mayanja's switch will cost SC Villa Shs3m. "The three players have already been cleared and have started training at Villa Park. What is remaining is for the competitions committee to register them as our players," Villa's secretary Edward Luyimbazi Mugalu said.
