Zambia: Police Release 17 CBU Students

The 17 Copperbelt University (CBU) students who were arrested during the confusion that rocked the campus on Monday after police whisked away a suspected thief from being lynched have been released.

Meanwhile, police have confirmed that a live bullet struck the student who was admitted to Kitwe Central Hospital (KCH). Copperbelt University Students Union (Cobusu) president, Kasonde Mwenda confirmed the release of the students in an interview at the campus yesterday.
