Nigeria: Reps, Pensioners Accuse FG of Violating Pension Laws

Abuja — Members of the House of Representatives, National Union of Pensioners (NUP) and military pensioners on Tuesday accused Federal Government of violating provisions of the 1999 Constitution regarding payments of pension.

The lawmakers and stakeholders were also saddened at the government's alleged failure to provide for payment of N70 billion pension increments in the 2009 Appropriation Act.
