Uganda: Makerere to Train Burundians in IT

Kampala — BURUNDI has become the first African country to benefit from Makerere University's multimillion-dollar computing and information technology centre.

A team from Makerere visited Burundi in June to assess the training needs.

The faculty dean, Prof. Venansius Baryamureeba, said the project would support the implementation of the ICT agreement signed between Burundian president Pierre Nkurunziza and the Government of Uganda in May.
