Johannesburg — A HUGE explosion at a Diepkloof power sub-station threatened to throw the start of the premiership season into disarray on the eve of the most logistically challenging top-flight campaign in the Premier Soccer League's (PSL's) 13-year existence.
The explosion and the subsequent theft of power cables in Diepkloof plunged parts of Soweto into darkness over the past few days, sending the PSL into a tailspin as the iconic Orlando Stadium was to host tonight's MTN 8 quarterfinal match between Kaizer Chiefs and Wits University.
