Angola: Luanda Govt Engaged in Structural, Urban Programmes

Luanda — The administrative authorities of Luanda Province expect that by 2012 it will complete the current project of construction of infrastructures aimed at improving the supply of water and electricity, as well as basic sanitation, as part of a structural and urban plan.

The deputy governor for technical area, Bento Soito, informed ANGOP that the projects are being implemented basing having as basis regulations, territorial and infrastructural development instruments, capable of sustaining an orderly growth of the city.

In the electricity sector, he highlighted the equipping of thermal substation and potable water production system in some districts of the province, while for basic sanitation, a micro drainage work, now in its final phase, is under construction.

He also highlighted the equipping of thermal centres in Cimangola, (Sambizanga), Boavista, Kinaxixi, Mutamba and Chicala-II (Ingombota), Viana, Nova Vida (Kilamba-Kiaxi), Cuca (Cazenga).
