Nigeria: TUC Commends National Assembly on Climate Commission

Abuja — The Trade Union Congress of Nigeria (TUCN) yesterday commended the National Assembly for recently passing a law creating the National Climate Change Commission (NCCC) to coordinate efforts to tackle the adverse effect of global climate change in the country.

When established, NCCC will institute programmes for the prevention, reduction and elimination of green house gases in the nation's air, land and inner state waters.
