Eritrea: Construction of Two Micro-Dams in Emni-Haili Sub-Zone Easing Potable Water Supply Problem of 16 Villages

Emni-Haili — The previously constructed two micro-dams in Emni-Haili sub-zone, Southern region, which are currently holding enough water amount are playing major role in easing potable water supply problem of 16 villages.

The inhabitants stated that they have now reliable potable water supply thanks to the construction of the micro-dam, and expressed hope that they would boost output through engaging in irrigation farming.

The inhabitants of the 16 administrative areas also stressed the significance of the micro-dams in enriching underground water resource which in turn is making due contribution in reviving stream waters that were dried up due to lack of enough water.
