Somalia: Explosion Kills Government Soldier, Injure a Young Boy in Mogadishu

Somalia — A government soldier has been killed and a young boy has also been wounded around Nasteho neighborhood in Wadajir district in the capital after land mine explosion targeted to a government soldiers' vehicle traveling there, witnesses told Shabelle radio on Monday.

Residents told Shabelle radio that the explosion occurred at Nasteho area on Monday morning where the government troops' truck was traveling killing one soldier, wounding another young teenage who was near the areas where blast happened.

More soldiers arrived at the scene instantly and halted the movement of the traffic and people in the neighborhood in Wadajir district in Mogadishu after the blast.

Locals said that they could hear the sound of heavy explosion and expressed concern about the big blast that happened around their neighborhood in Wadajir district in the capital and seems that it is part of the other string explosions often targeted to the soldiers.
