Angola: Official Calls for Preservation of Kuito City

Kuito — The governor of the central Bié Province, Cândida Celeste da Silva, Saturday in Kuito appealed to the local residents to cooperate in the construction activities and preservation of the social, economic, and cultural structures, with a view to positively contribute to the development of this city.

Cândida Celeste da Silva was speaking in the light of the 84th anniversary of Kuito City, to be celebrated on August 31.

According to her, the provincial government and its partners continue committed to the implementation of the projects for quick social and economic development of the region, particularly for people's wellbeing.

After expressing regret over some negative practices committed by the Kuito residents, mainly by youths and children, such as the destruction of some infrastructures, the governor urged parents and guardians to sensitise the children under their responsibility on the importance of preserving public assets.
