Liberia: On Haddad Exoneration, 'Legislators Acted Wisely'

Former Finance Minister David Farhat has disclosed that the 52nd National Legislature acted wisely by exonerating Lebanese business tycoon George Haddad in the sale of the Buchanan iron ore to which he was included as one of the parties by the General Auditing Commission (GAC).

Mr. Farhat, who quoted some portion of the agreement between the Liberian government and the Chinese Company Shandong International Corporation, said Mr. Haddad only served as only negotiator and not part of the agreement.
